Dallas Hand Knitters Guild The purpose of the Dallas Hand Knitters Guild
is to provide education and communication to advance the quality of
workmanship and creativity in the members’ knitting endeavors as well as to
promote the art of knitting to others. |
Membership Benefits
Monthly Meetings First Tuesday of each month (September through May include
programs, June, July and August are knit-togethers) ~ 7:30 PM at the Episcopal
Church of the Transfiguration (NW corner of Hillcrest and Spring Valley). See
website for a map.
Programs Professional instructors as well as the Guild’s
own talented members present a variety of informative and stimulating programs
related to hand knitting.
Show & Share Portion of the monthly meetings where Guild members
share their latest knitting projects.
Monthly Newsletters Contains info about Guild activities, knitting related events
in the Metroplex, minutes from the previous month’s meeting, program info, yarn
shop news, patterns, etc.
Day/Night Knitters Monthly informal gatherings during the day and evenings
focused on hand knitting.
Workshops Accomplished knitting teachers present hands-on
workshops throughout the year. These
feature such nationally-known teachers as Joan Schrouder, Beth Brown-Reinsel,
Keely Stuver, and Nancy Wiseman.
Discounts Many yarn stores in the DFW
area offer discounts on yarn to Guild members when shown their current Guild
membership card before checkout.
Membership Dues $30 for
full Guild year—September thru August
$15 for half Guild year—January 15
